Bowen therapy heals with gentle and effective moves which remind the body to restore itself to balance and wholeness. Your body can be said to be like a map of all that occurs in your life. Traumas, illnesses & emotional wounds, if not fully resolved, whether remembered or not, may lead to pain & suffering. Bowen can help unravel the source of suffering, allowing it to be released, restoring balance of body, mind and spirit. Consider Bowen for:
Back pain and sciatica
Digestive and Bowel problems
Earache, ear infections and migraines
Knee, ankle and foot problems
Hormonal irregularities
Neck and shoulder problems
Respiratory problems and hayfever
RSI and carpel tunnel
Sports and accident injuries
Long-term effects of trauma
Feeding problems in babies
Behaviour problems in children

Gentle Bowen moves at strategic places on your body, remind your body that it can start to heal.
In Bowen therapy, subtle moves are performed over the muscles and connective tissue. A Bowen move sends messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a preferred, relaxed, balanced way of being.
Waits between the Bowen moves allow the body TIME to respond. In this is all- important healing time, many people find themselves ‘drifting off’ into a beautiful state of relaxation. It is as though the body takes off the ‘armour’ it has used to protect the injured part, allowing the body to restore health and wellbeing.
Bowen can provide relief for many types of injuries and other health problems, both acute and chronic, and it does so wholistically, by stimulating the body’s innate healing ability.
The Bowen practitioner performs moves which signal the body’s nervous system at specific locations on the body, and the body responds in its own time, according to its own wisdom.
Bowen therapy is greatly effective as soon as possible after an acute injury has occurred. In this way your body can be helped to overcome the trauma before it begins to compensate for it.

Most clients come for Bowen with conditions that have developed over time, with an injury or trauma that the body has adapted to dysfunctionally.
An injury may have been of an emotional nature, and has been carried for many years, eventually manifesting as pain in the physical body.
The Bowen technique and the benefit of the ‘waits’ between moves, allows the mind and body time to adjust to the moves that have been performed.
Elizabeth uses the Floral Acupuncture ™ method of topical application of Bach Flower remedies to specific acupuncture points on the body, to assist the release of emotional traumas that can be the source of pain, restriction and ill-health. Elizabeth has been trained by Deborah Craydon, one of the founders of Floral Acupuncture ™, and uses this nurturing and non-invasive technique, involving topical application of Bach Flower essences, to help clients heal emotions associated with physical conditions.

Homeopathy considers the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – to promote overall well-being.

Homeopathy supports long-term healing by addressing the underlying cause of illness.
Bowen is a wholistic technique that addresses the whole body, restoring balance. Bowen moves stimulate vibrational patterns via the fascia, which restore the body to balance and harmony.
The autonomic nervous system in the body, which controls over 80% of bodily functions, is very susceptibly to external stressors. Bowen enables a shift in the autonomic nervous system from the sympathetic nervous system over-stimulation (fight, flight, freeze mode) to the parasympathetic nervous system (rest, relax, repair mode.) assisting the body to let go and heal from trauma, sickness or surgery.
All Bowen consultations: $70 (1.5 hrs).
Bowen Therapy and Bach Flower Floral Acupuncture ™ : $70 (1.5 hrs).
Best results are obtained from three initial treatments.
A Bowen consultation usually lasts about 1 – 1/2 hours. Clients lie on a massage table. A session involves a series of moves, which may be done through light, comfortable clothing. There will be a ‘wait’ between each set of moves, and the practitioner will leave the room, allowing a few minutes for the client’s body to respond. A common treatment involves balancing the entire body with moves on the lower back, the upper back and the neck. Further Bowen moves may also be added during a treatment.
Elizabeth may apply a Bach Flower Essence to acupuncture points on the body to assist in the healing process.
Bowen therapy facilitates the body in healing itself with gentle moves. No corrective moves are imposed on the body, thus allowing the body to release deeply held trauma.
